Our Teacherpreneurship Initiative equips educators with tools to monetize their ideas — from selling educational resources to launching creative brands. Through interactive workshops, community coaching, and shared inspiration, we help teachers realize that their expertise is their business.

Every student deserves to shine. An annual initiative ensuring that all students can attend prom in style, regardless of circumstance — complete with gowns, suits, and joyful community support.

Co-hosted with Miles Ahead Tennis, Volley & Vibes offered a refreshing space for educators to prioritize their well-being. Between tennis lessons, light bites, and vibrant conversation, participants embraced the power of rest, movement, and joy in community.

Whether it’s touchdowns or tip-offs, our community loves showing up in style for group outings to Commanders football games and Wizards basketball games. These gatherings create space for educators to relax, connect outside the classroom, and root for something bigger — each other.

Self-care, but make it 90s.
Dressed as their favorite R&B and hip-hop legends, educators gathered at FSC Workshop for a night of bubbly, beats, and body scrub-making. Between throwback playlists and creative fun, we celebrated joy, nostalgia, and the power of taking time for ourselves — no scrubs allowed.

Empowering educators to build wealth and stability beyond the classroom.
In partnership with MG Residential’s realtor Daniel Walcott and Blake Price, mortgage lender with First Home Mortgage at The Menkiti Group, we hosted an engaging and informative homeownership workshop designed specifically for educators. Attendees learned practical strategies for purchasing their first homes, navigating financing options, and building generational wealth — all within a supportive community of peers and experts.

Celebrating community through creativity and care.
Held at FSC Workshop, Sip & Scent invited women educators to unwind and connect in honor of Galentine’s Day. Participants designed custom candles while enjoying refreshments and conversation, reflecting Black Educators Collective’s commitment to blending wellness, artistry, and community.

Community giving in action.
In partnership with House of Ruth, Black Educators Collective organized a Back to School Drive to ensure students had access to quality backpacks and school supplies. This initiative reflected our commitment to supporting children and families through tangible acts of care and educational equity.
